As we all know, 2021 was another year where COVID fully controlled our lives.

At the start of 2021 things weren’t looking good for us as a business, times were hard and with only being allowed to do a “Click & Collect” Service this was causing big problems trying to maintain two stores. We took a gamble and closed our Acle store. We then decided to invest all our time and money into a new store in our home town of North Walsham. Our old store was tucked out the way and in the middle of nowhere, so we began hunting for a new store more central to town!

After months of searching, one finally came up in May. We went and viewed it and within hours the tenancy agreement was signed, and we were planning the layout of our new store. The new premises is located right North Walsham Town Centre, so it was a win win for us. We also agreed on a premises next door which is the main hub for our online sales as well as being our new clean room where all the mixology magic happens.

The move seemed a huge risk given the current COVID situation, but looking back it was one of the best decisions we have made as a company. We are seeing new customers come into the shop daily and anyone who has the visited the new store will tell you it’s a massive improvement on the last one!

After a few months of letting the shop settle there wasn’t many more improvements we could implement to increase the foot fall. So we decided to focus our attention on our online prescence once again. Online has and always will be our main business and we already had a huge online following going back to 2016! The only thing we were lacking was a new website, so we began scrolling through company after company until we came across the guys at visualise. After a short talk with visualise’s Commander & Chief Jim on the phone, the new website began getting designed! In just over a month, the new website was finished and launched and it looks absolutely amazing!

All in all, what seemed like a shitty year has transformed City of Fog into a completely new company. Previously we were just your average Vape shop, fast forward to the end of this year and we are on our way to being Norfolk’s Number 1 vape store and rapidly creeping up the online rankings.

It certainly hasn’t been a walk in the park, many hours and hard work have gone into this! Having an amazing team behind City of Fog has made all this possible but none of this would have been possible if it wasn’t for our amazing customers! New and old. It’s thanks to you guys’ City of Fog has managed to not only survive a global pandemic but come out the other side even stronger!

So, that’s the end to our year and with our very own little City of Fog mascot (Baby Miller) due very soon, myself and Rachel will be taking some long overdue and very well deserved time off! But fear not, whilst we are away you will be left in the very capable hands of City of Fogs AMAZING staff.

We were going to tell you our plans for 2022, but with always peeking eyes I’m not going to announce it on this blog, but just know – WE HAVE SOME AMAZING IDEAS COMING NEXT YEAR.
